AFRU - Our Team

David Close

As head of the Aboriginal Fisheries Research Unit, Dr. David Close established the AFRU laboratory at the UBC Fisheries Centre in 2008-2009. His research focuses primarily on the ancient vertebrate, the lamprey, which is a culturally important food to the aboriginal peoples along the west coast. Sang-Seon Yun

Dr. Sang-Seon Yun came to the Fisheries Centre in July 2011, and is working with the Aboriginal Fisheries Research Unit in examining chemical communication systems of fishes. Contact Dr. Yun at s.yun@fisheries.ubc.ca or visit his FC Faculty Profile.

 

 

Wes Didier

Wes Didier, BC Métis, is working on eulachon food web analysis and testing for stresses that may be affecting fecundity of eulachon.
